The Environmental Health Dept works to assure the health of the community by enforcing laws, regulations and ordinances that protect health and ensure safety. Our team is the inspection authority to assure compliance with public health laws. 
Environmental Health is responsible for inspecting:
  • Regular and Temporary Food Service Facilities
  • Schools
  • Hotels/Motels
  • Mobile Home Parks
  • Public Swimming Pools
  • Tattoo and Body Piercing Studios

Other duties include:

  • Investigating complaints (garbage, sewage, insects and rodents)
  • Quarantine Officers (Rabies Control Program)
  • Facilitate and Teach Septic Installation classes
  • Teach Food Handlers Certifications
  • Protect and inspect septic installation and repairs of residential and commercial systems
  • Member of Epidemiological Rapid Response Team (ERRT)
  • Member of Disaster Preparedness Team
  • Member of Communicable Disease Team
