   Working on Wellness (WOW)

WOW is a 30 minute health education segment hosted by the Franklin County Health Department in a partnership with Frankfort Plant Board’s Cable 10 Media Services.
Over the years, WOW has enjoyed hosting a number of community partners and spotlighting their role in ensuring the 10 Essential Public Health Services in Frankfort and Franklin County.

You may have seen us out and about!   We have enjoyed taking the “show on the road” and thereby meeting the public where they are.

 Our program topics have included:
  • Annual Rabies Vaccination Clinics
  • Visits to our HANDS Program families in their homes
  • Severe Weather Awareness and New Outdoor Warning Systems
  • Franklin County’s New Harm Reduction and Syringe Exchange Program
  • Environmental Services Hard at Work in your Community
  • The Women, Infant and Children (WIC) Supplemental Nutrition Program
  • Humana Vitality Assessments at Worksites
  • The Three-for-Free Drive Thru Flu Clinic
  • Longest Day of Play Physical Activity Event
  • Healthy Cooking

If you are interested in being a guest on WOW, please contact Debbie Bell at 502-564-5559
